Mugged by the Odeon

Friday was my son , Sonny's tenth birthday and amongst other things we did we went to the local Odeon cinema to see the new Pixar film,Cars which I thought was truly awful after the beauty of their last film Toy Story.Sonny duly lined up for his obligatory popcorn with his Mum,1 small,1 medium and 1 small pepsi. When the assistant rang up the till for £9.05 I laughed.I really thought she was joking.'But you can adopt and feed three African children a month for that' I protested.'You can drive to Cornwall or get drunk for that(almost)' I cried. And then it dawned on me that she was for real. That these two tubs of rubbish and the cardboard cup of sugar water really were going to cost me nearlya tenner. And then it hit me.If I'd been anywhere else or on my own I'd have told her to stuff it but because I was there with my son having a little treat on his birthday I wasn't going to do that. Fair trade or daylight robbery?

Hello

After reading brother's blog it seemed only logical to start my own and he came up tonight and got me started. So here goes, into the out there, out of the in here. This blog will probably be filled with uncoordinated bitz of stuff I find interesting or amusing.I take many photos and have archived the progress of the band throughout the years some of which will be included..I might inflict some poetry on you lucky people especially that of a dear friend ,recently passed away ,who always wanted his work published freely. It seems the freest way is the blog! The first sketch was given to me to copy by a surprising person who although very troubled was very eloquent and revealing.Hope you're doing fine Leila. When I get the hang of this I'll write more.
