'Safe' is relative... Relatives are not necessarily safe...

I don't suppose that'll help you decide. It really depends on why you blog, and who/why people read (and comment). I've read some of the exchanges posted here and can see the challenge, but then that is always there if you open yourself to it, whether with a blog or by public release of music, and you can always decline to be drawn into something if you don't wish.

Like you I abhore aggression, and wonder what drives the surprisingly large proportion of society to adopt or even enjoy it.

For me, I arrived here through trying to avoid my past mistake of losing touch: I very much liked EBB music, and saw the band quite a few times in teh 70s to mid 80s, but sadly missed the most recent performances, having been unaware of them until too late - and now I find that for some reason unknown to me there seems to have been a decision to cease for good.

Music's loss (and a loss to those of us that will miss it)!

So back to your question: it really depends on what you have to say, and whether you want to open yourself to hear people's comments, which of course will include the good with the bad, or vice versa...
