Apocalypse moments.
What would Dad have thought of these days?!

Yesterday, above my garden, the air throbbed with the sound of Obama's footprint. The giant helicopters flew over at a funereal pace and the rest of the sky was also suddenly full off plane lights, no doubt further heavily armed protection for the most powerful man in the world. I looked skyward and wondered.

I was digging my plot while he flew over, ready for a new day.

Today, my son phoned me from the local ad.hoc skateboard park, which the kids have created for themselves in the absence of any other amenity, to say he was with the police and he and several of his friends had been mugged for their phones and the money they had in their pockets. Fortunately, Sonny kept to our rules and handed over without resistence, urging his friends to do the same. They were threatened with a stabbing or harm to their families if they didn't comply.

Climate change?!!!

Surely we owe them more than this.
